Is there a way to dye the dress myself at home without ruining it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Answer
I wouldn't even attempt that is I were you! Here is a question someone asked on another website:
Hi, I was wondering if you could help me? I have a satin two piece dress that i bought for a wedding earlier this year and now my friend is having a wedding with the same dress except wine instead of silver. Is it possible to dye it and where can I get that done? Thanks Theresa
Dear Theresa,
Sorry, you are stuck. You can't dye a synthetic satin dress, & even if it were rayon or silk, it would be very difficult to move it from silver to dark red.
Sorry. Have fun at the weddings.

Is a lace wedding dress appropriate for a February wedding?

I am getting married February 13 and I love a lace wedding dress. It's white and is lace. Is it too summery for a winter wedding??

Answer
Can't you find peach dye? There's some on the link below...it's from a toy making supplies company but dye is dye if it's all meant for fabric

What does everyone think about a black lace wedding dress?

disney gee

if the wedding is in sept, oct time?? is it too gothic? not getting married on halloween, just love the fall colors and black feels much more me...... but not too sure how the family will react.....

Answer
I wouldn't totally do an all black lace wedding dress ( but that is me personally). What you could do is have a white one but add black in little areas of the dress to make it feel more you. An example you can have a black lace belt/sash that ties in the back. Or add black lace and beading on the dress in areas by your bust and down by the end of the dress. Also remember it is your wedding day and if you want a black lace dress go for it, whatever you decide to do your family should just be happy to celebrate your special day with you. Good Luck on your dress and inyour wedding, best wishes!!

Can you alter a wedding dress to have a lace up back?

Jenny C

I have a wedding dress that has buttons (for show) and a zipper. I would like for the seamstress to take all of that out and put in a lace up back. Is that possible??

Answer
Yep. My prom dress was button up and since it was a smidge tight (I have a large chest lol) the seamstress offered to remove the buttons and zipper and put in a lace-up back. I ended up having her take out the seems a little because I loved the buttons but had I chosen to have the zipper taken out she said it would have cost me around $50-$75 which considerng the price of a wedding/prom dress, isn't too bad for alterations.
