Will my ivory wedding dress look good with white calla lilies?

Q. My wedding dress is ivory, and the bouquet I'm considering has pink roses (they are lighter pink on the bottom and brighter around their edges), pink hydrangeas, white calla lilies, and white stargazer lilies. Will this look odd with my dress? I'm worried about pictures, primarily.

A. I think that it'll be just fine and it'll look stunning. Remember, white, combined with the other blooms you mentioned, will soften the look of the bouquet and still look beautiful. (BTW, the bouquet sounds spectacular!)

I hope this helps!

Is there anyone who agrees with me on black gloves with an ivory wedding dress?
Q. Every one of my friends say that they will kill me if I wear them on my wedding day. I personally think it will be hard to match ivory with ivory. I really like the black gloves though. And I thought it would be easier to match. On the other hand I don't have any black in the wedding dress itself I thought of putting a black broach or rose on the top part of it since it is sleeveless. But I really don't want have to cover any of my dress.

A. White is for weddings black is for funerals but it is your wedding and you should do whatever you want. I'm pretty sure your fiance would say the same thing.

Can a groom wear black on black for the wedding?
Q. I have an ivory wedding dress, but do not like the ivory shirts that go w/the tux for the Groom or GM. Thinking of going all black. Tux, shirt, and vest. Any thoughts?

A. It's not traditional, but it's your wedding so there are no rules, you can do whatever you want.

What kind of necklace would match my wedding dress?
Q. I have an ivory / creme coloured wedding dress, it is not a real wedding dress and it's kind of casual. Those lovely diamond necklaces that you see would clash with this dress. I'm not sure what kind of necklace would match the color and style of my dress, any suggestions?

A. I would suggest a simple diamond necklace, like a pendant.

Doing my own makeup for my wedding any advice?
Q. So im going to be doing my own makeup for my wedding becuase i really can not afford to pay someone to do it for me any advice on how i should do my makeup? My usual everyday makeup is foundation with some mascara and eyeliner....Im wearing an ivory wedding dress im fair skinned dark brown hair with blue eyes.. Any advice would be much appreciated thanks!

A. I would go out and buy a copy of Bobbi Brown's Makeup Manual.. she has step by step makeup for everyday.. and how to alter it for more special occasions while stil being natural and then she has an entire section on how to get your skin and makeup ready for your wedding.. plus if you go to Bobbi Brown booths.. u can just ask for them to do ur makeup for a wedding (say its your friends wedding or something so u dont have to worry about them trying to get u to have a consultation that costs instead of a free make over... and then watch what they do and try to recreate it
