Q. My mom is so discouraged that she can't find a dress for my wedding that is in November. She's been everywhere, but can't find anything. She is probably a size 18 or 20, so it makes her options pretty slim. Does anyone know where she can find some dresses that would fit and be flattering on someone of her size?
A. Actually, size 18 or 20 shouldn't be too difficult at all. Here is a spot that has about 300 brand new mother of the bride dresses, the majority of which run up to size 24...

Where can I find plus size wedding dresses in Washington DC, VA, MD metro area?
Q. She is not really a plus size, but she has been shopping and all the sample dresses in the places she went were to small for her to try on. She is size 11/12, or a 14 depending on cut. She wants to find a place that there are actual dresses that she can try on in her size so she wants to find a place that can do that.
A. Unfortunately the sample sizes that normal bridal shops carry are very small. Most people usually don't get to try their wedding gown on in their size.
You can try going to David's Bridal if there is one in that area. I'm not a huge fan of David's Bridal, but the one thing that is good about their stores is the fact that they carry the same dress in all different sizes. It makes it a lot easier to try on - but most bridal shops have one sample only. If she likes David's Bridal gowns then this would be the perfect place. If not then she might have to do some more research.
I would have her look online at different designers and see if she likes any of the dresses on their website. If she sees one that she likes online she can locate a store that carries them in the area. She can then call the bridal shop and ask them if they a) if they have that sample in the store and b) what size the sample is. She can also ask them if they can order a sample in her size. Some bridal shops can do that, but you would most likely be charged for it. Usually they will charge you $50, but if you decide to purchase the dress then they will apply the $50 to your purchase.
If she wants to try on samples in her size then it's going to take a lot of research. It's frustrating not to be able to find a sample in your size since you want to know exactly how it is going to look on your wedding day, but hopefully she will be able to find something.

where can i find a nice formal dress for my plus size mother for my wedding?
Q. i want my mother to look stunning as well for my wedding in april. i've looked at davids bridal but they are just not the right size. she is a 3x according to her, but i dont know what size that is in formal attire. please help!
A. I dont know what style your mother is ( some like updated, while others traditional, etc) 3X is usually 24 or 26...it really depends on body shape though ( as you well know). Also on cut, just know that when you go to a store that sepcializes in plus size, like a Lane Bryant or Kiyonna, they tend to cut bigger, so she would be true to size of 24...but other stores that usually cater to women but have a plus size section, tend to cut smaller, so may need to go up a size. You should be able to find nice selection as 3x can be found.
Try:
http://www.lanebryant.com
(They have a formal section, that is not instores.....just onlin)
http://www.kiyonna.com
(Strictly online, but have a nice and stylish formal section)
http://www.nordstroms.com
(Online as well , very nice plus size)
http://www.macys.com
(they have a plus section, dont know if have formal, but try)
http://www.davidsbridal.com
(Not just bridal, they have designer formal section all the way up to 26, which your mother is not...go in the store, but first look at styles online)

Which style of wedding dress is much better for a fat girl?
Q. I am very fat, it is very difficult for me to choose a wedding dress that fit me very well, help me, pleaseï¼
A. Most designers carry plus sized wedding gowns that are very beautiful.
Overall an empire waistline usually works well with plus sized women, as do A-Line.
Try looking at some styles online and then find out if some local bridal shops have them.
Also, when you call a bridal shop be sure to ask them if they have dresses you can actually try on. When my brother was getting married I was in his wedding and at the time I was a plus size, so was his now wife and it was hard for us finding a place who had a dress we could actually try on only "similar styles" of dresses she liked.

What wedding dress is good for a big woman?
Q. I'm 20 and im engaged and i wanted to know what style of dress is good for my size? im 357 lbs and im 6'0..... please help and no rude answers please......
A. Wear a floor-length dress with a full skirt (ball gown) or draped skirt (empire-waisted). A-line would also look nice.
As for the bodice, it can be whatever you want. It can be strapless or halter or spaghetti strap or with sleeves or whatever you want. People say that curvy women shouldn't wear anything that exposes the upper arms, but I don't think it really matters if your upper arms show or not.
Since you're so tall, I honestly don't think heels are necessary, but if you want to wear heels then go ahead!
EDIT:
There are some GORGEOUS plus size wedding dresses!!!!
